
The Technical Engineering College in Najaf holds a seminar on the civilizational and historical role of the city of Baghdad.

The Najaf Technical Engineering College organized a festival to honor orphans, under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and supervised by the Dean of the Najaf Technical Engineering College, Prof. Dr. Hassanain Ghani Al-Husseini. The event was held in collaboration with Al-Mustafa Foundation for Religious Guidance and Awareness and Al-Siddiqa Fatima Foundation for Orphans and Widows Care.
The festival began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the reading of Surat Al-Fatiha in honor of the souls of the martyrs of the nation and all free martyrs worldwide. This was followed by the playing of the Iraqi national anthem.
Prof. Al-Zubaidi opened the festival by welcoming all guests and emphasizing the virtue of caring for orphans and bringing joy to their hearts, a tribute to the sacrifices made by their fathers to protect the nation and its sacred values. He also praised the timing of the event, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Lady Zainab bint Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH).
The festival also included a remembrance of several heroic stories of the martyrs of the holy popular mobilization forces, narrated by Sheikh Ali Al-Taie.
As part of the festival’s agenda, a theatrical performance highlighted the sacrifices of the resistors who martyred in defense of the land and sacred values in recent times. Additionally, the program featured chants and poetry celebrating the blessed occasion.
In conclusion, several orphans were honored by the Dean of the College.
The festival was attended by the Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadai, the Dean of the Technical Institute in Najaf, Prof. Dr. Haidar Hassan Al-Abdali, as well as senior staff members of the university and college, and a large gathering of faculty and students.
