The Technical Engineering College in Najaf, part of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, conducted seminars for some PhD students specializing in Power Mechanics Engineering / Thermals. The students presented a range of pioneering topics, most notably an experimental and theoretical study on the evaporation of a biphasic hydrocarbon droplet (N-pentane two-phase bubble drop) in an immiscible fluid (distilled water). This phenomenon is considered one of the complex scientific challenges in direct contact heat exchangers.
Additionally, a FLIR E30bx thermal camera was employed to support the study. The discussions during the seminar highlighted a high level of innovation and critical thinking among the students, reflecting future trends in this field.
Key recommendations from the seminar included expanding research efforts, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, focusing on sustainability, and publishing practical research in the field of specialization. Many faculty members from Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University participated in the seminar.
