As part of the initiative to establish postgraduate programs in Iraqi universities in general, and at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University in particular, a ministerial committee visited the Technical Engineering College in Najaf to review the proposal for a Master’s degree program in the Department of Power Mechanics Engineering Technologies, specializing in Applied Mechanics.
The delegation was received by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Hassanain Ghani Al-Husseini, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Asaad Al-Sahlani, and the Head of the Department of Power Mechanics Engineering Technologies, Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Khafaji.
The visit included an on-site inspection of the college’s physical and human resources and the compliance with the requirements outlined in the Postgraduate Studies Regulations No. 26 of 1990.
Dr. Al-Husseini emphasized that the current postgraduate programs in the college include Master’s and PhD degrees in the departments of Communications and Power Mechanics. He also highlighted the college’s plans to introduce Master’s programs in the Departments of Aviation Engineering Technologies and Construction and Building Engineering. These developments aim to meet labor market demands and enhance the academic offerings of the institution.
