The first seminar for master’s students in the research stage / first round was held at the Technical Engineering College in Najaf, affiliated with Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in the field of Communication Engineering Technologies. The students discussed a range of pioneering topics reflecting the latest developments in the field of telecommunications, the most notable of which was “Face Recognition with Masks Using Artificial Intelligence Techniques.”

The researcher presented innovative solutions to overcome the challenges posed by masks on traditional recognition technologies, enhancing security in public spaces and contributing to applications such as security surveillance.

The discussions then moved on to the second topic, “Ray Tracing Using Machine Learning Techniques,” where the presentation demonstrated how these techniques can improve the accuracy of communications and positioning in complex environments, such as smart cities and public facilities. The researcher emphasized the importance of these methods in developing future communication systems.

Additionally, the seminar covered Li-Fi technology as an innovative solution to enhance data transmission efficiency. The researcher highlighted the benefits of this technology in achieving higher speeds and greater energy efficiency, marking a significant step toward improving wireless networks.
