Najaf Engineering Technical College Organizes the “Festival of Hope” in Celebration of Imam Al-Mahdi’s (A.J.) Birth
The Najaf Engineering Technical College, one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in collaboration with the Student Activities Unit, hosted the annual “Festival of Hope” to commemorate the birth of Imam Al-Mahdi (A.J.).
The event was attended by His Eminence, the scholar Sayyed Rashid Al-Husseini, the renowned reciter Mulla Ammar Al-Kanani, as well as a large number of faculty members and students.
The festival commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by one of the participating students, followed by Surat Al-Fatiha in honor of Iraq’s martyrs and the national anthem.
The event featured various segments, beginning with a speech by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hassanein Ghani Al-Husseini.
His Eminence, Sayyed Rashid Al-Husseini, a professor at the Najaf Seminary, then delivered a lecture reflecting on the birth of the savior of humanity, Imam Al-Mahdi (A.J.). He also paid tribute to the martyrs of the blessed religious edict (Fatwa), who sacrificed their lives for the homeland. Additionally, his speech highlighted the moral and humanitarian values embodied by Imam Al-Mahdi (A.J.).
The festival also featured poetic recitations by the Hussaini eulogist, Mulla Ammar Al-Kanani, adding a spiritual and emotional touch to the gathering.
The organizers emphasized that this event aligns with the college’s mission to promote faith, strengthen ethical values, and foster a sense of spiritual awareness among students. They also underscored the importance of commemorating such occasions to enhance intellectual and cultural consciousness.
The festival concluded with the recognition of participants and the distribution of commemorative gifts, amidst an atmosphere of celebration and engagement from the attendees.
