A delegation from the Presidency of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University visited the Continuing Education Unit at the Technical Engineering College in Najaf.

As part of the periodic follow-up of the activities of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, the Technical Engineering College in Najaf received a delegation from the Continuing Education Center at the university presidency, headed by Professor Dr. Mahdi Hathef, Director of the Center. The visit was part of an annual tour aimed at evaluating the performance of the Continuing Education Unit at the college.

The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Asaad Awad Al-Sahlani, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Lecturer Fatima Mohammed Kadhim, Head of the Continuing Education Unit, along with the staff involved in the unit’s operations. The visit included a review of the workflow within the unit and an overview of the activities carried out during the previous period, including training courses, workshops, and future development plans. The delegation also examined the unit’s documents and records to ensure their compliance with the university’s approved standards and regulations.

The delegation discussed several challenges that may face the development of continuing education and ways to overcome them to ensure performance quality and the achievement of desired goals.

Professor Dr. Mahdi Hathef emphasized that this visit is part of a series of field visits conducted by the university to evaluate performance, enhance the quality of programs offered under the framework of continuing education, and strengthen the contribution of colleges and institutes to community service.

At the end of the visit, the delegation praised the efforts of the Continuing Education Unit staff at the college, appreciating their commitment to implementing development initiatives and stressing the importance of reinforcing these efforts in line with the university’s strategic directions in the fields of education and community training.
