Under the patronage of the Dean of the Najaf Technical Engineering College at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassanein Ghani Al-Husseini, and as part of the college’s efforts to provide job opportunities for its graduates in private sector companies, the Career Development and Employment Unit and the Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with Akkad Gateway for Employment and Training, organized a scientific seminar titled:
“Integration into the Job Market and Private Sector Companies.”
The seminar, presented by Jinan Adel Maki (Managing Director of Akkad Gateway) and Ahmed Mohsen Ali (International Trainer), addressed three main topics:
- Understanding the Job Market: An overview of the term “job market” in general and its specific implications in the private sector.
- Key Skills for Employment: Educating students and graduates about the importance of engaging with private sector companies, highlighting essential qualifications for job applicants, particularly mastering programming languages required in the market, and guidance on how to develop these skills.
- Effective Market Integration: Providing students and graduates with practical advice on how to successfully integrate into the job market.
The seminar was attended by many graduates and fourth-year students.
In his remarks, Dr. Al-Husseini expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the speakers and the heads of the Career Development and Employment Unit and the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college. He emphasized the importance of organizing such seminars to enhance students’ and graduates’ understanding of the private sector and its advantages, which, in turn, could reduce reliance on government jobs. He wished all graduates success and excellence in their professional endeavors.
