The Women’s Affairs Unit at the Technical Engineering College in Najaf, affiliated with Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized a seminar entitled:
“Legal Amendments for the Protection of Women’s Rights.”
The seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Abdul-Jaleel Mahdi, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and covered several key topics, including:
- The most prominent laws concerning women, with a focus on their constitutional and civil rights.
- Legal mechanisms that enable women to claim their rights and confront societal challenges.
The seminar also addressed issues related to personal status laws, domestic violence, and the available legal protection mechanisms.
