The Technical Engineering College in Najaf, part of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, organized a scientific workshop titled: “The Mechanism of Selecting the Appropriate Journal for Publishing Rigorous Scientific Research.”

The workshop was presented by Dr. Abdullah Ali Jaber, Assistant Lecturer, and Ms. Nargis Jalil Raheem, Assistant Lecturer. They explained how to choose the appropriate journal from reputable global indexing platforms such as Elsevier, Clarivate Analytics, Springer Nature, Wiley, Thomson & Reuters, and IEEE.

The lecturers highlighted methods for evaluating the strength of journals, focusing on key indicators such as Impact Factor, CiteScore, and the initial decision period by the journal editor after submission. Additionally, they demonstrated the use of artificial intelligence tools, such as TRINKA AI, to suggest the most suitable journals, identifying the top five journals related to the research topic.
