The Technical Engineering College in Najaf organizes a training course on data classification using the Orange application.

The Technical Engineering College in Najaf, part of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a scientific course entitled: “Data Classification Using the Orange Application.”

The course was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Alyaa Abdul-Hussein Lutfah from the Department of Communication Engineering Technologies. It began with an introductory overview of artificial intelligence and its wide-ranging applications in fields such as classification, computer vision, robotics, and more. The session explained key AI methodologies, with a special focus on data classification algorithms.

During the course, a practical demonstration of the Orange software interface was provided. A hands-on example was conducted using a dataset classification task, illustrating the essential steps of the process—from data loading, selecting the appropriate algorithm, training the model, to evaluating its performance using the built-in tools.

The session emphasized the importance of using Orange for simplifying the development of analytical models, thanks to its user-friendly graphical interface. This allows users to design advanced AI and data analysis solutions without writing complex code, making it an ideal tool for researchers, students, and developers looking to accelerate practical applications in artificial intelligence.
