Dr. Muhannad Ahmed Abdulkarim

Dr. Muhannad Ahmed Abdulkarim Al-Abbadi is the Head of the Department of Aviation Electronics Engineering Technologies at the Technical Engineering College – Najaf, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the University of Technology in Baghdad (2006 and 2009) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas, USA (2019). He has academic experience in both Iraqi and American universities and has authored dozens of published research papers in signal processing, channel tracking, millimeter waves, and radar using advanced filtering and machine learning techniques, focusing on enhancing communication systems and wireless networks.

The Department of Aviation Electronics Engineering Technologies aims to prepare specialized technical engineers in the design, maintenance, and operation of aircraft electronics systems and aviation control and navigation systems, supporting the development of both civil and military aviation. The department strives to provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to face the challenges of the modern aviation sector.

To be a leading department in teaching and developing aviation electronics technologies, contributing to innovation and scientific research to meet the needs of the local, regional, and international aviation and electronics job markets.

Mission

To graduate highly qualified technical engineers in aviation electronics who possess strong applied and research skills to work in the maintenance and operation of aircraft electronics and control systems, while promoting applied scientific research to serve the aviation sector.
