Under the patronage of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, the Technical Engineering College of Najaf organized an awareness seminar entitled:
“Environmental Pollution by Radioactive Nuclides”
with the attendance of a number of faculty members, staff, and college students.
The seminar addressed a set of important objectives and themes, most notably:
- Identifying potential sources of radioactive leakage.
- Clarifying the environmental and health effects resulting from radioactive leakage.
- Explaining the basics of radioactive nuclide decay and the principles of radiation protection.
- Identifying safety procedures for handling radioactive materials and sources.
The seminar lectures were delivered by:
- Assistant Professor Dr. Shireen Nazim Kazim
- Assistant Lecturer Haider Hassan Neama
